Requirements
Your site must be verified in Google Search Console. If you haven't done this before, Google Search Console will walk you through verification.
Your Google account must have Owner or Full permission on the property.
Troubleshooting
"API not enabled"
You didn't complete the extra step above. Go to Search Console API and click Enable.
"Site permission denied" or "Property not found"
Make sure your Google account has access to the site in Google Search Console.
Verify the site URL matches exactly —
https://example.comandhttps://www.example.comare treated as different properties.
Note: Search Console data is typically delayed by 2-3 days. If you're looking for yesterday's data, it may not be available yet.
